A secondary school in South Birmingham is looking for an experienced SENCo to take full responsibility for SEND provision on a long-term basis. This is a high-demand role in a school where SEND needs are significant. You will need to be confident leading from the front, managing EHCP processes, and working closely with SLT, staff, and external agencies.
The Role
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
- Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and interventions
- Work closely with SLT and teaching staff to improve outcomes
- Support behaviour strategies for students with additional needs
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher with SENCo experience (or aspiring SENCo with strong background)
- Confident managing a high caseload of SEND students
- Strong understanding of EHCP processes and statutory requirements
- Resilient, organised, and able to lead in a demanding environment
