A school within Kingstanding is currently looking for an SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception on a 1:1 basis. This child is non-verbal and has ASD. They will also require personal care. You will be working with the child both inside and outside of the classroom, supporting sensory play and speech development. This school has an extremely supportive SEND team who will work alongside you to ensure that this child is reaching their full potential.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Level 3 + Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one to one basis
  • Experience of MAKATON is preferable but not essential
  • Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
  • Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years
