Aspire People are currently recruiting for a Primary SEN Teacher to work 3 days per week in a supportive SEN setting in B13, starting as soon as possible. This role involves teaching primary-aged pupils with severe learning disabilities (SLD). The successful candidate will deliver engaging, highly adapted lessons that support pupils' individual learning needs, communication and personal development.
- Planning and delivering adapted lessons for pupils with severe learning disabilities
- Supporting pupils with individual learning, communication and developmental needs
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider SEN team
- Creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
- Monitoring and supporting pupils' progress and wellbeing
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience teaching primary-aged pupils
- Have experience supporting SEN pupils, particularly those with severe learning disabilities (SLD) or complex needs
- Be patient, nurturing and adaptable in their teaching approach
- Be confident working alongside support staff
- Be committed to inclusive education
