Aspire People are currently recruiting to support of a well-established alternative provision in Telford. This setting provides a supportive and structured environment for students who are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural, social, or emotional challenges.
About The Role
This is a rewarding opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and reach their potential. You will be working closely with a small cohort of students to build positive relationships, support learning, and help manage behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs.
- Help manage behaviour and support students with emotional regulation.
- Act as a consistent and positive role model.
- Work alongside teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to ensure students receive the support they need.
- Encourage positive attitudes toward learning, attendance, and personal development.
The Setting
- KS4 Alternative Provision for students aged 14-16.
- Supports students referred due to behaviour concerns or risk of exclusion.
- Focused on reintegration into mainstream education where possible, or achieving the best outcomes within the setting.
- Students may present with needs such as SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

- Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or care setting.
- Understanding of behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed practice.
- Confident, resilient, and able to stay calm under pressure.
