Aspire People are working in partnership with secondary schools in Blaenau Gwent to recruit a Challenging Behaviour Specialist Cover Supervisor for a September start. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced cover supervisor or behaviour specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, high-need school environment.

The Role:

  • Supervising whole classes in the absence of the classroom teacher
  • Managing and supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, including SEMH needs
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
  • Maintaining a calm, safe, and productive learning environment
  • Working closely with senior leaders and pastoral teams

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience working with challenging behaviour in a secondary school or similar setting
  • Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH / additional needs
  • Resilient, calm, and consistent approach
  • Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
