Aspire People are working in partnership with secondary schools in Blaenau Gwent to recruit a Challenging Behaviour Specialist Cover Supervisor for a September start. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced cover supervisor or behaviour specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, high-need school environment.
The Role:
- Supervising whole classes in the absence of the classroom teacher
- Managing and supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, including SEMH needs
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Maintaining a calm, safe, and productive learning environment
- Working closely with senior leaders and pastoral teams
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience working with challenging behaviour in a secondary school or similar setting
- Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH / additional needs
- Resilient, calm, and consistent approach
- Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
