Are you a patient, calm, and resilient individual with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs on a 1:1 basis? We are recruiting for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 7 pupil with complex needs within a well-resourced and welcoming secondary SEND school in Stockport. The school offers excellent specialist provision and a highly experienced, supportive team.

The Role:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 7 pupil within a specialist provision
  • Supporting a pupil with Autism and Dyslexia, working below age-related expectations
  • Acting as a scribe, repeating instructions and reinforcing learning consistently
  • Supporting the pupil to retain information through structured repetition and guidance
  • Promoting emotional regulation, ensuring the pupil feels safe, happy, and engaged in school
  • Working closely with teaching staff and specialists to deliver tailored support

Communication Support:
