The successful English Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (A-Level teaching experience is desirable)
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English Language and Literature
- The ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire students of all abilities
- Strong classroom management skills
- Be based in or able to travel in and around Shropshire
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and effective English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Planning, preparing, and assessing students' work
- Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Following the school's behaviour management and safeguarding policies
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Contributing to the wider success of the English department
