SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH Autism We are looking for a passionate, experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide dedicated support to children with Special Educational Needs, SEMH, Autism and trauma-related needs. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who may present with a range of complex needs, including Autism, SEMH, trauma and challenging behaviour. You will provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment, helping pupils to develop their confidence, emotional regulation and educational skills. The Successful Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has previous experience working with children with SEN. Has experience supporting children with Autism and SEMH. Has an understanding of trauma-informed approaches and the impact trauma can have on children's behaviour and learning. Is patient, calm, compassionate and consistent. Can build positive and trusting relationships with children who may have complex needs. Is confident managing challenging behaviour using positive and appropriate strategies.
