Aspire People are recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with complex and additional needs across a range of school settings. We are looking for candidates with genuine professional experience who are confident providing consistent 1:1 support and adapting their approach to meet individual pupil needs.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex SEND
- Supporting pupils with autism, communication difficulties and learning needs
- Helping pupils access the curriculum through personalised strategies
- Supporting communication, social skills and independence
- Assisting with emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Supporting sensory activities and structured routines
- Working closely with teaching and specialist support teams
- Supporting personal care where required
- Recording and feeding back on pupil progress and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous professional experience working with pupils with SEND
- Strong 1:1 support experience
- Experience within a specialist school, SEND provision or similar environment
- Confident supporting pupils with complex needs
- Experience with autism and communication needs is highly desirable
- Patient, consistent and adaptable approach
- Able to work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team

- PRUs and alternative provision
- Residential or care settings
- Youth support and specialist support services
