Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester. We're looking for practitioners who already understand the day-to-day demands of working in a school and can confidently support pupils within the classroom. If you've recently become available, are looking for a change of school, or are simply exploring what's available now the academic year has started, we'd be happy to speak with you.
The Role May Include:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Assisting with Reading, Writing and Maths
- Supporting differentiated classroom activities
- Assisting with basic interventions
- Supporting pupils with SEND
- Helping maintain positive classroom routines
- Supporting behaviour and pupil engagement
- Supervising pupils during breaktimes and transitions
- Encouraging confidence and independence
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team
We're Looking For:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Recent experience within a UK primary school
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum
- Experience supporting classroom learning
- Confident working with primary-aged children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Candidates with experience supporting SEND, SEMH or pupils with additional learning needs would be particularly attractive to many of our schools.
