Aspire People are currently seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who has more than 6 months of UK-based experience working within a school and is looking for a rewarding role with the opportunity to make a positive impact on pupil progress.
The Role:
- Delivering planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
- Providing whole-class, 1:1, and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Covering classes across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 where required
- Supporting interventions in Maths, English, phonics, and other curriculum areas
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Working closely with class teachers, senior leaders, and SENCOs
- Supporting assessment, pupil progress, and feedback
- Helping to organise resources and maintain a positive learning environment
- Supporting wider school activities, trips, and events where required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a relevant Level 4, HLTA, or equivalent qualification, or has strong relevant experience
- Has more than 6 months of UK-based experience working within a school
- Has previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar classroom support role
- Is confident leading lessons and managing a classroom
- Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Can work independently while also contributing positively to the wider school team
- Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil development
