Aspire People are currently seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who has more than 6 months of UK-based experience working within a school and is looking for a rewarding role with the opportunity to make a positive impact on pupil progress.

The Role:

  • Delivering planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
  • Providing whole-class, 1:1, and small-group support
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Covering classes across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 where required
  • Supporting interventions in Maths, English, phonics, and other curriculum areas
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
  • Working closely with class teachers, senior leaders, and SENCOs
  • Supporting assessment, pupil progress, and feedback
  • Helping to organise resources and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Supporting wider school activities, trips, and events where required

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a relevant Level 4, HLTA, or equivalent qualification, or has strong relevant experience
  • Has more than 6 months of UK-based experience working within a school
  • Has previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar classroom support role
  • Is confident leading lessons and managing a classroom
  • Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Can work independently while also contributing positively to the wider school team
  • Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil development
