SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time in Oxford

We are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team, working with children and young people aged 3-19. Previous SEN experience is not essential. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds who have the right attitude, a caring nature and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs. This is a role where care, nurture, patience and building meaningful relationships are just as important as academic learning. You will support pupils in their day-to-day lives, helping them to feel safe, valued, confident and able to achieve their potential.

The role as an SEN Teaching Assistant includes:

• Provide dedicated care, support and encouragement to pupils aged 3-19.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support pupils with their personal, social and emotional development.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Support pupils with a range of additional and special educational needs.
• Help pupils access learning and participate in activities at their own level.
• Provide a combination of care, nurture and some academic support.
• Encourage independence and celebrate individual progress and achievements.
• Work closely with teachers and other members of the team to provide consistent support.
• Help create a calm, safe and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.

Experience in education, childcare, care work, youth work, support work, healthcare, sports, the arts or other people-focused roles can be valuable - but we are open to candidates from all backgrounds.
