We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting pupils across a range of abilities and is committed to helping children achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Help create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and personal development.
  • Support behaviour management in line with the school's policies.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
  • Has experience supporting pupils in KS1, KS2, and those with SEN.
  • Is patient, caring, and adaptable.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Holds relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential with suitable experience).
