Aspire People is delighted to be recruiting for a Health and Social Care Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated Outstanding, all-girls Roman Catholic secondary school in South West London. The successful candidate will teach Health and Social Care across KS4 and KS5, inspiring students through engaging, relevant and vocationally focused lessons. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and informative Health and Social Care lessons across KS4 and KS5, including GCSE and/or BTEC Level 2 & Level 3.
- Support students in developing strong knowledge of health services, human development, care values and wider health and social care topics.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments and external examinations, supporting strong academic outcomes.
- Deliver lessons with clear real-world relevance and a strong vocational focus, helping students understand potential careers within the health, social care and childcare sectors.
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support continued development.
- Contribute to departmental development and career-focused enrichment opportunities.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment aligned with the school's values.
Requirements:
- QTS or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Degree or professional qualification in Health and Social Care or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5, including GCSE and/or BTEC.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
- Excellent communication, planning and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
