The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils, teachers, and support staff to create a positive learning environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn.
- Your Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Support children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties, and learning challenges.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENDCo to deliver personalised learning plans and interventions.
- Use creative, practical, sensory, and play-based approaches to encourage engagement and participation.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, school staff, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
