SEN Teaching Assistant - Supporting Children with SEMH, Trauma, Anxiety & Autism

We are seeking a compassionate, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, trauma, anxiety and autism.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will be calm, nurturing and understanding, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children who may have experienced trauma or find school environments challenging.

You will support children with:

Emotional regulation and anxiety
SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
Autism and communication difficulties
Confidence, self-esteem and social development
Accessing learning and engaging in classroom activities
Developing independence and positive relationships

We are looking for someone who understands that every child is different and is willing to adapt their approach to meet individual needs. A trauma-informed and child-centred approach is essential.
