Aspire People are looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support pupils across Pontypridd.
This is a great opportunity for graduates, Teaching Assistants, trainee teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, tutors and anyone with relevant experience working with children or young people.
The Role
- Supervise classes during teacher absence
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and activities
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Support pupils with their learning and engagement
- Follow school policies and procedures
- Provide feedback to teaching staff where required
- Build positive and professional relationships with pupils
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people essential
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Confident communication and organisation
- Calm, patient and professional approach
- Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions
- School experience desirable
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, youth work, coaching or childcare beneficial
- EWC registration or willingness to register
- Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
Desirable
- Efficient and reliable travel to Pontypridd
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
