Aspire People are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Sport & Fitness to support a secondary school in Cardiff during maternity cover. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who can deliver engaging PE lessons and inspire pupils to develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity.
The Role
- Teach Sport & Fitness and Physical Education across secondary year groups
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet pupils' learning needs
- Encourage participation, teamwork and positive attitudes towards physical activity
- Support pupils' progress and development across different key stages
- Contribute to an inclusive learning environment and wider school life
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support teaching and learning
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching PE or Sport & Fitness in a secondary school
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and engage pupils of different abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
