- Teaching English Language and Literature in line with departmental schemes of work.
- Supporting GCSE pupils with examination preparation and developing their reading, writing and analytical skills.
- Maintaining strong classroom routines and managing behaviour confidently.
- Adapting teaching to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
- Marking, assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
- Working collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You must hold QTS or QTLS and have experience delivering English within a secondary school environment.
Strong behaviour management is particularly important. We are looking for a teacher who can establish clear expectations from the outset, build positive relationships with pupils and maintain a purposeful learning environment.
You should have secure subject knowledge across English Language and Literature, with the confidence to deliver GCSE-level content.
We are interested in teachers who are organised, adaptable and comfortable taking responsibility for a full teaching timetable.
Applications are welcomed from experienced English Teachers and confident Early Career Teachers.
AVAILABILITY
This is a full-time assignment beginning Monday 2 November 2026 and running until the Christmas break.
