We are Aspire Living & Learning, a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities. Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Lead to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a Bel Air Harford County residential setting.

This is a unique DSP Lead opportunity that will allow the candidate to work closely with the residential and clinical team in support of one individual, an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in gaining clinical experience!

The DSP Lead will act as a case manager for one individual which will include duties such as:

  • Engaging the individual in community outings
  • Scheduling doctor’s appointments
  • Attending team meetings
  • Collecting data
  • Meeting with the clinician weekly
  • Meeting with the residential program manager weekly
  • Updating external stakeholders

The DSP Lead will represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served or supported by the program, and provide input on program planning and implementation for individuals.

Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Minimum Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting with supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, experience using Therap a plus!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license required, with at least 3 years of driving experience.
