Now looking to strengthen their team, they require an experienced Electrical Project Manager. This important role needs someone with previous project management or site management experience who is within a 1-hour commute of their H/O in Ringwood but who is also able to commute and visit clients and sites across the UK (inc Wales) although most of their work is London and M4 corridor down to the South Coast/South West. This role will see you being able to hit the ground running and pick up existing projects as well as ones that are in the pipeline.
The experienced Electrical Project Manager will:
- Proven track record in electrical project management with either SMSTS or SSSTS
- Solid technical background, 18th Addition qualified
- A hands-on, can-do attitude with initiative to work well individually and in a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with all project parties
- Willing to work flexibly, with requirement to work out of hours (until 8pm, occasional weekend work), as projects demand
- Willing to manage projects across south and west of England
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft office packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - working knowledge of MS Project an advantage
- Clean driving licence and DBS check
- Be computer literate
- Be flexible and agile
Operations:
- Creating and updating project programmes
- Producing site H&S folders and performing site inductions
- Liaising with clients throughout projects
- Sourcing materials and coordinating labour for projects
- Ensuring H&S is enforced on project sites, according to company policy and processes
- Oversee the delivery and storage of materials
- Compile and provide O&M information
- Liaise with office to ensure specific site requirements are met (eg security, plant etc.) support the Operations Team on an ad hoc basis
Financial:
- Day to day liaison with Commercial Dept. regarding progress and variations to projects
- Authorisation of materials and labour invoices
- Authorisation of subcontractor timesheets
- Analysis of invoices to flag up procurement issues
