Location: Fordingbridge

Salary: £23,809.50 pa

Hours:

  • 12-month maternity cover contract: 8.00am-16.30pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch
  • Permanent full-time position: 10.00am-18.30pm with 1 hour for lunch

Working with our Client who is a well-established global distributor, we are now looking for 2 x Warehouse Operatives to work within their packing department. The first role is a 12-month maternity cover contract and the second role is a full-time permanent position with the hours stated above.

TO BE A CONSIDERATION FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE AND HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT OR LIVE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE.

Requirements of the Warehouse Operative:

  • Be able to work the hours stated.
  • Be physically fit - a lot of manual handling, standing for a long period of time and walking involved.
  • Have excellent timekeeping and be reliable.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Be able to multitask.
  • Be numerate.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Be flexible to suit the business needs.
  • Be a strong team player.
  • Be highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines when under pressure.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative:

  • Picking of stock with a high level of accuracy.
  • Inspection of customer orders to ensure Right first time.
  • Packing of customer orders to strict cut off times.
  • Releasing of orders to couriers.
  • Undertake cycle counts and stock takes as required.
  • Maintain the safe handling, storage, and identification of goods in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Follow standard work instructions and maintain company procedures and follow all HS&E regulations.
  • Any other Stores duties as requested by the Supervisor/line Manager.
