Aspire Jobs are delighted to be working with a well-established and reputable company based in Fordingbridge, Hampshire who are now looking for a Logistics Assistant to work within their warehouse. This is a full-time role to commence with immediate effect. Candidates who have proven experience working within logistics will be highly regarded. The successful Logistics Assistant will have worked in a warehouse or distribution environment previously.
Please note: If you drive and have your own transport or live within walking distance, this would be advantageous.
The successful Logistics Assistant will:
- Have a background within logistics and distribution, at least 1 year’s experience
- Have proven experience working within a warehouse environment
- Be proficient with IT systems
- Possess good data entry skills
- Be a reliable and dedicated individual
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have good communication skills
- Be a team player
Responsibilities for the Logistics Assistant:
- Booking shipments with couriers and working with the warehouse to get an understanding of the shipment sizes to plan transportation accordingly
- Preparing shipment paperwork
- Managing deliveries
- Liaising with the warehouse team daily
- Assisting the warehouse with any other duties as required
