The predicted salary is between 40000 - 64000 £ per year.

Base Location: Home working with the requirement to visit Aspire sites in and around the Newcastle under Lyme Borough areas on a daily basis. You must reside within 60 minutes of ST5 postcode and have access to a suitable vehicle.

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £45600 plus £2140.80 car allowance per annum

We are going through an exciting period of transformation at Aspire housing. As part of our improved way of working we are introducing a number of new Technical Maintenance Surveyors to support our Responsive Repairs and Void teams. As part of our 2025 focus and in line with our corporate plan and values, we recognise the importance of "putting the customer at the heart of what we do and getting the job right first time" for them. These new roles are an integral part of the service delivery team to meet the needs of our customers and the business.

Responsibilities

With at least 2 years of current demonstrable post‑qualification experience working in a social housing maintenance surveyor role across core trades, you will support the Home Maintenance Service Operations Manager by carrying out surveys and property inspections throughout the housing stock within repairs and voids in line with current legislation. You will also be overseeing the delivery of subcontracted repairs, ensuring repairs are completed in accordance with Aspire standards and timeframes demonstrating "what a good job looks like", being professional with a right‑first‑time approach, supporting the Home Maintenance Team to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of current demonstrable post‑qualification experience in a social housing maintenance surveyor role. Proficient in inspecting, specifying, and diagnosing works in a construction environment utilizing Nat Fed 8 rates. Ability to scope works, materials, and plant required while ensuring value for money and the best service for Aspire customers. Professional, with a right‑first‑time approach, supporting the Home Maintenance Team to reach their full potential.
