About the role
We are going through an exciting period of transformation at Aspire Housing. As part of our improved way of working, we are introducing a number of new roles to support our service delivery teams.
As part of our 2026 focus and in line with our corporate plan and values, we recognise the importance of "putting the customer at the heart of what we do and getting the job right first time" for them. These new roles are an integral part of the team to meet the needs of our customers and the business.
As a Repairs Inspector, you'll play a key role in ensuring our homes are maintained to a high standard by supporting the delivery of responsive repairs services. Working closely with colleagues and contractors, you'll carry out in progress and post work inspections, including intrusive investigations (where required) to assess the quality of repairs and identify any underlying issues. You'll help deliver a customer-focused, efficient, and value-for-money service, ensuring our customers receive the high standards repairs they expect.
What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a genuine commitment to delivering great outcomes for our customers. You'll have experience in repairs, maintenance, or construction, ideally with a extensive trade background and the ability to identify issues, assess the right solution, and ensure work is completed to a high standard.
Just as importantly, you'll share our passion for getting things right the first time, taking ownership, and providing an excellent customer experience. You'll be organised, able to prioritise your workload, confident using IT systems, and comfortable working with a range of customers, colleagues, and contractors.
A relevant trade qualification (or demostratable equivalent experience) and a full UK driving licence are essential, while experience in social housing and knowledge of damp, mould, and property compliance would be an advantage.
In return we can offer you:
- Belonging to a team who make a difference to our community and value equality, diversity and inclusion.
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays + 3 concessionary days at Christmas
- Comprehensive employee assistance programme.
- Ongoing training and development in your role.
- A full benefits and discounts platform.
- Holiday buy, tech and annual savings schemes.
- Volunteer days.
- Competitive rates of pay.
- A generous company pension scheme.
- Wellbeing and stay safe provisions to look after you at work.
