Tekla Draughtsman

Location: Office-based Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Overtime: Paid Salary: Competitive and negotiable, depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced Tekla Draughtsperson to join our team, working on a diverse range of structural steelwork and architectural metalwork projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys producing high-quality technical drawings and working closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to deliver exceptional results.

The Role

As a Tekla Draughtsperson, you will be responsible for

  • Producing accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and reports using Tekla Structures.
  • Interpreting architectural and structural engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Creating detailed fabrication models in line with project requirements.
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, and the wider project team to ensure designs are delivered accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensuring all drawings comply with current British Standards and industry best practices.

About You

We're looking for someone with

  • Strong experience using Tekla Structures (ideally 5+ years, although we are happy to consider candidates with slightly less experience if they have the right skills and attitude).
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD and Microsoft Excel.
  • A solid background in structural steelwork and architectural metalwork.
  • Experience working in the UK and producing drawings in accordance with British Standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
