Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Sutton and various London-based sites Salary: £60,000 - £90,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-end commercial & residential projects across London.

They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical building services design, to take a leading role in delivering complex, technically challenging projects from concept through to completion.

You will work closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and site teams to develop efficient, compliant, and high-quality mechanical design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed mechanical building services designs from concept through to construction.
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Coordinate mechanical services with multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, British Standards, and client requirements.
  • Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including resolving design and installation issues.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure smooth and successful project delivery.
