In this role, you’ll shape our safety culture by providing professional advice, guidance, and assistance to managers and operational staff. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that risk assessments are thorough and effective, and you will oversee risk assessments across all departments, maintaining an up-to-date register of competent risk assessors. In addition to this, you’ll play a key role in identifying and mitigating risks associated with various activities on the garrison and you’ll ensure that robust emergency plans and arrangements are in place and regularly tested.
Your attention to detail will contribute to the safety and well-being of all personnel on the garrison and you will foster strong relationships with HS&E professionals across the business and partner organisations. You’ll also dive into the world of asbestos management as you implement and review our Asbestos policy on the garrison; your knowledge of asbestos-related regulations and procedures will be invaluable.

We’re all about nurturing great teams, and our award-winning safety and wellbeing initiatives are built on keeping an eye out for one another and having a good work-life balance.
In addition to being part of our team, you’ll also get:

To succeed in this role you must have NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification. Familiarity with business management system requirements is essential, as you’ll work in accordance with these standards. Additionally, your proficiency in conducting occupational HS&E audits and evaluating compliance with business management systems will be critical.
Experience in managing both a directly employed workforce and sub-contractors is also key, as is working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015. When it comes to skill sets, a proactive nature, with a natural disposition to mentor and teach is essential. You will be an effective communicator and have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide managers and operational staff.
