Your Role:

  • You will be carrying out painting, decorating, and general building maintenance tasks as part of reactive and planned maintenance activities.
  • You will be assisting the wider workforce to deliver efficient maintenance services across The Garrisons.
  • You will be ensuring all work meets company standards, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • You will be responding to and resolving reactive maintenance tasks as directed by line management.
  • You will be recording all completed works accurately using company systems and documentation.
  • You will be working collaboratively to provide excellent customer service while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: You will hold a full UK driving licence and be eligible for Ministry of Defence security clearance, with proven experience across building and construction engineering environments including industrial, commercial and domestic settings.
  • Experience: You will have relevant experience within a building trade, be proactive, able to manage varied workloads, and work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Skills: You will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, a customer-focused approach, the ability to manage workloads, problem solve, and work safely within established systems of work and risk assessments.
  • Experience & Knowledge: Relevant building trade experience within maintenance services. Ability to work across multiple disciplines within a multi-trade environment. Experience working in challenging and varied workloads within a team environment.
  • Desirable: C&G 6217 Multi-skills qualification or equivalent. PASMA and IPAF qualifications. Health and safety training. Experience within a military or Ministry of Defence environment. Experience using handheld PDA systems.
  • Skills: Ability to understand and implement risk assessments and safe systems of work. Strong organisational and workload management capability. Professional approach with discretion and accountability. Team-focused with a flexible and proactive attitude.
