Based at TNB and expected to travel to sites, this role supports Lifecycle Planning and the Annual Maintenance Plan through completion and pricing of project briefs, cost planning, and assessment of contractor quotations to ensure value for money and accurate budget forecasting.
Your Role:
- You will be ensuring compliance with management systems, quality, health, safety and environmental policies, and relevant Lifecycle Planning, Change and Annual Maintenance Plan processes.
- You will be preparing and completing project briefs with rough order of magnitude costings using pricing methodologies and historic contractor data.
- You will be delivering accurate estimates and quantification of scopes of work, ensuring all requirements are fully considered.
- You will be reviewing contractor quotations, tender returns and work estimates to assess and challenge value for money where appropriate.
- You will be undertaking quantitative analysis to compare estimates with market returns and final costs, supporting continuous improvement.
- You will be supporting multiple garrison estimates and collaborating with the Strategic Team and other estimators to share best practice and support commercial decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: You will be educated to a minimum HNC/HND level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with a Level 4 or Level 5 industry-recognised qualification in construction, building services or engineering.
- Experience: You will have experience in estimating, construction pricing, lifecycle planning and asset management support, including estimating building, civil, mechanical and electrical works with a sound understanding of cost data and construction pricing.
- Skills: You will have excellent information technology and communication skills, strong construction industry knowledge, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively and independently.
