Your Role:
- To undertake New, Reactive or PPM carpentry works as part of a highly skilled maintenance function within the Garrison.
- Modify and re‑construct timber structures as required by associated artisan tradesmen.
- Preparation and subsequent installation of doors and frames from blanks as may arise day‑to‑day.
- Ensure acceptable standards of productivity and workmanship are maintained in the execution of work.
- Accurate recording of all maintenance works when completed are posted through the appropriate equipment, systems and documentation as required by the Company Management System.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in City and Guilds. An IOSH Working Safely certificate would be beneficial.
- Experience: Proven high-standard carpentry experience with ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality, timely results. Understanding of team trades, safe working systems, and other disciplines within multi‑task delivery services essential.
- Skills: Competent person with RAMS and Safe Systems understanding. Ability to work from drawings, requisition materials, complete jobs, and supervise operatives. Customer‑focused with proactive, flexible teamwork approach. Strong problem‑solving, communication skills, and self‑discipline essential.
- Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain MoD security clearance.
