Hours: 37.5 hours per week, no weekends
Location: Aspire Business Centre, Tidworth with some travel to Larkhill on occasion

Your Role:
Primary responsibility is in supporting the Management Accountant & Reporting Manager (MARM) to ensure the provision of effective management accounting (for all Aspire entities, covering Aspire Defence Services Limited (ADSL), Aspire Defence Services (ADS) and Aspire Defence Capital Works (ADCW) and reporting, providing financial support to satisfy business objectives.
Ensure compliance with ADSL/ADCW finance policies, processes and procedures at all times and ensure accounts are fully compliant with audit requirements.
Business Partnering with key individuals in the ADSL head office support teams and across ADCW, working with them to understand their numbers, help drive efficiency and build forecasts and budgets.
Carry out and oversee all tasks associated with accounting month end for ADCW/ADSL including computation of accruals, preparing financial reports and understanding key variances and trends.
Provide cover for the other management accountants within ADSL central finance team.
Preparation of Sarbanes Oxley reporting and checking of processes on a monthly basis.
Supporting MARM in preparation of annual budgets and re forecasts.
Preparation of customised monthly cost centre reports as requested by internal/external customers and attendance at monthly meetings to run through results and raise cost awareness.
Liaising with Garrison finance teams and other central finance members to help understand results and variances.
Reporting monthly results to KBR and answering ad hoc questions as required.
Preparation and reconciliation of intercompany statements.
Assist in the preparation and submission of ADCW VAT and CIS returns.
Assist with audits, deal with auditor questions and collating fieldwork.
Assistance with ADCW transaction processing including ensuring appropriate approvals, coding and creation of payment runs.
Any other reasonable requests made by MARM.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Part Qualified Accountant in a recognised accountancy qualification.
Experience: Relevant and demonstrable experience within a financial function. Experience within the service, construction or FM industry. IFS & Mentor knowledge would be advantageous.
Skills: Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills with attention to detail and commercial awareness. Able to prioritise under pressure, build effective relationships, and adapt to new challenges with a professional, confident approach.
Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.
