We’re looking for an Education & Welfare Support Officer to join our pastoral team and play a vital role in supporting some of our most vulnerable students - from improving attendance and behaviour to providing emotional wellbeing, safeguarding and targeted one-to-one support.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll build trusted relationships with students and families, work closely with staff and external agencies, and help young people access the support they need to thrive.
A key part of this role is leading the admission and transition of commissioned students. Working closely with our Vice Principal for Safeguarding, Behaviour and Attendance, you’ll liaise with commissioning schools, families and students to make sure new placements happen smoothly and promptly. You’ll become a key point of contact throughout the student’s journey, coordinating information around attendance, behaviour and progress and facilitating commissioner quality-assurance meetings and visits.
If you’re empathetic, resilient, highly organised and confident working across agencies, and you want to make a genuine difference to young people at pivotal moments in their education, we’d love to hear from you.
Join us and help make sure every young person gets the support, stability and opportunity they deserve.
