At Aspirations Care, we\’re looking for a Senior Support Worker in Leicester to help shape a positive, person-centred service for adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities.
For genuine occupational reasons, we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Support individuals with daily living, social engagement & independence.
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers to deliver outstanding care.
- Maintain accurate records and risk assessments (paper and electronic).
- Communicate effectively with families, professionals, and the wider team.
- Foster a safe, caring, and empowering home environment.
- Help shape a responsive, inclusive, and well-led service.
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and person-centred practice at all times.
What We\’re Looking For
- At least 3 years\’ experience in social care, including time as a Senior Support Worker.
- Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 (minimum), and willing to work towards Level 3.
- Solid understanding of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.
- Competent with IT – Word, email, record keeping, and care systems.
- Strong leadership skills, flexibility, and a positive, proactive mindset.
- Experience with safeguarding, risk assessment, team supervision, and promoting independence.
