We are seeking a dedicated, caring, and experienced Support Worker to join a specialist support team for P, an 18-year-old young woman who has recently moved into her own supported living bungalow after living with her family.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in supporting a young person to live a fulfilling and independent life within her own home and community.
About PP is a friendly young woman who requires support with all aspects of daily living. She has:
- Learning Disability
- Global Developmental Delay
- Epilepsy
- PEG feeding (for additional fluids, nutrition and medication)
- Moving and handling needs
- Visual impairment
- Non-verbal communication
- Incontinence
- Full personal care requirements

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Support Worker who
- Has experience supporting individuals with complex health needs
- Has knowledge and experience of PEG care and epilepsy management
- Is competent with moving and handling procedures
- Can provide high-quality personal care with dignity and respect
- Is compassionate, patient and reliable
- Has a positive, jovial and nurturing approach
- Can build trusting relationships and communicate effectively with non-verbal individuals
- Holds a full UK driving licence and is confident driving a mobility vehicle

- Day Support Worker - Weekdays: 16:00 - 22:00, Weekends & Bank Holidays: 08:00 - 22:00
- Waking Night Support Worker - Weekdays: 22:00 - 09:00, Weekends: 22:00 - 08:00
- What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting P with her daily routines and activities
- Assisting with PEG-related support in line with training and care plans
- Supporting with medication administration
- Providing personal care and continence support
- Supporting safe mobility and transfers
- Accompanying P on community outings and appointments
- Promoting choice, independence and person-centred outcomes
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns appropriately
