We are seeking a skilled and reliable Horizontal Borer to join our clients team at a static site. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a range of precision machinery, working to tight tolerances, and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a Kerns Richard SH75 horizontal boring machine, along with lathes, drills, and milling machines
- Machine components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Read, interpret, and work from mechanical and technical drawings
- Understand machining requirements, tooling, and cutting techniques
- Select and use appropriate machining tools for each task
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all machinery
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the machining process
