Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical installation works across water and wastewater sites throughout Scotland.
- Install pumps, screens, rotating equipment, and associated pipework, valves, and ancillary equipment.
- Work with a range of pumping systems including centrifugal, multistage, and progressive cavity pumps.
- Assemble and install pipework systems using materials such as PVC, ABS, ductile iron, galvanised, and stainless steel.
- Follow technical drawings, instructions, risk assessments, and method statements accurately.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Work collaboratively with site teams across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within the water, wastewater, or similar industrial sector.
- Strong experience in pipework assembly and pump installation.
- Confident using tools, equipment, and materials across mechanical engineering disciplines.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of current health & safety legislation.
- CSCS card required.
- Confined Space certification essential.
- DOMS certification advantageous but not essential.
