Estimator’s Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and submitting accurate tenders and cost estimates
  • Conducting detailed material take-offs
  • Sourcing and ordering required steel and metal materials
  • Liaising directly with main contractors and project stakeholders
  • Contributing to cost planning, budgeting, and ensuring cost-effective procurement
  • Maintaining clear documentation and supporting the commercial team as needed
Estimator’s Requirements:
  • Valid CSCS Card (essential)
  • Proven experience in estimating within a steel or metalwork environment
  • Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes and materials
  • Experience working on construction or engineering sites
  • Strong organisational and communication skills – confident dealing with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
