Responsibilities
- Raise purchase orders and accurately process supplier and project invoices
- Manage subcontractor applications, valuations, retentions, and payment support
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations and resolve invoice queries
- Support payment runs, credit card processing, and month-end finance tasks
- Monitor finance and applications mailboxes, ensuring timely responses to queries
- Maintain accurate digital records, approvals, and audit trails
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, project managers, and senior management
- Assist with improving finance processes, controls, and workflow efficiency
- Provide guidance and support to junior finance or accounts colleagues where required
Requirements
- Previous experience in accounts administration, purchase ledger, or finance administration
- Experience within construction, engineering, or building services is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of invoice matching, reconciliations, and payment processes
- Experience handling subcontractor applications, project invoicing, or labour costing
- Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel; Construction Manager experience advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload, follow approvals, and resolve discrepancies effectively
