Fabricator / MIG Welder, Temp to Perm, 40 hours per week + OT paid at x1.5

Responsibilities

  • Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week). As workload increases, overtime may become available on Fridays and Saturdays, paid at 1.5x standard hourly rate.
  • MIG welding heavy gauge mild steel and Hardox wear plate
  • Fabricating and assembling mixer components and structural steel sections
  • Grinding, cutting, fitting, and finishing fabricated steel parts
  • Working accurately from detailed engineering drawings
  • Ensuring all work is completed to high quality and safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

Requirements

  • Proven MIG welding experience within a fabrication or heavy engineering environment
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings accurately
  • Experience working with heavy gauge steel materials
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
