We are currently seeking an experienced Aluminium MIG Welder to join a busy workshop team on an initial 13-week contract, with the potential for extension or a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
- MIG welding aluminium plates and components used in pylons and substations
- Manufacturing and fabricating components for infrastructure replacement and upgrade projects
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Welding to specified tolerances and quality standards
- Carrying out all work safely and efficiently within a workshop environment
- Supporting quality control and ensuring completed work meets project specifications
- Successfully completing a weld test prior to starting work
Requirements
- Proven experience in aluminium MIG welding
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Strong understanding of welding tolerances and fabrication standards
- TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
