Maintenance Technician, ÂŁ45.070 + 15% shift allowance, Irvine

Responsibilities

  • Perform safe and effective reactive and planned maintenance on production plant and equipment, ensuring both production and site downtime are minimised
  • Complete all routine maintenance tasks on schedule
  • Install new equipment as required
  • Interrogate, fault‑find, and resolve issues across company equipment and systems
  • Actively participate in summer and winter overhaul programmes, ensuring all plant machinery is serviced, repaired and maintained appropriately
  • Engage fully in continuous improvement initiatives, meetings, and assigned tasks
  • Complete work permits and ensures all duties are carried out in full compliance with health and safety standards
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels to support wider business objectives
  • Contribute to special projects when required

Requirements

  • Time-served, multi‑skilled maintenance professional, ideally holding 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • Experience working within a production environment and operating on shift patterns
  • Desirable knowledge of PLCs, servo drives, robotics, and line automation systems
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capability to prioritise tasks and meet demanding deadlines
  • High attention to detail, strong standards, and a results‑driven mindset
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts
  • Well‑developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both production and maintenance teams as well as management
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities, with the capability to follow direction as needed
  • Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and able to work independently using own initiative
  • Proven experience working with the systems noted above
