Approved Electrician (18th Edition) – HVAC & Facilities Maintenance
Are you a qualified 18th Edition Electrician with hands‑on experience in HVAC systems and commercial electrical maintenance? We\’re seeking a proactive and reliable professional to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general electrical and HVAC plant maintenance.
- Maintain and repair electrical installations, including lighting systems and wiring, as well as mechanical and plumbing systems on site.
- Conduct routine testing and inspection of electrical equipment and installations.
- Maintain on‑site logbooks, permits, and site paperwork, ensuring they are completed accurately and kept up to date.
- Knowledge and experience of all electrical plant including, but not limited to Air Handling Units and their associated controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories).
- Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.
- Knowledge and experience of all electrical installations, including wiring, testing, issuing written electrical test/minor works reports etc.
- Be flexible and able to collaborate well as part of a mobile team, while keeping client satisfaction as a top priority.
- Always demonstrate awareness and commitment to health and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Approved Electrical Apprenticeship with an AM2 or SVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification, and a completed final trade test is a minimum requirement.
- Approved Electrician with 18th Edition Accreditation is a minimum requirement.
- Testing & Inspection 2391 Certification is desirable.
- Experience with HVAC systems and facilities maintenance is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in similar electrical or maintenance engineering roles is ideal, particularly in a facilities maintenance or commercial environment.
