Joiner, Central Belt with some travel to the Borders and Dundee, £18.00 to £20.00 per hour DOE + Travel time, no fuel costs, New company van, Constant OT available paid at x1.5.

Responsibilities:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (paid 40 hours per week)
  • Engineers must arrive on site by 8:00am
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and repair works, including:
  • Emergency response tasks
  • Lock changes
  • Fire door inspections and repairs
  • Door closers, hinges, and adjustments
  • Window adjustments
  • Box guttering maintenance
  • Removal and replacement of faulty fire strips
  • General finishing and shuttering works
  • Work across a mobile patch (primarily Central Belt, with occasional work in Aberdeen, Perth, and Dundee)
  • Accurately log all jobs using a PDA system
  • Ensure all work is recorded with detailed notes and photographic evidence upon completion
  • Operate across a variety of sites:
    • 95% commercial and retail (including shopping centres)
    • 5% student accommodation, social housing, and domestic properties

    Requirements:

    • Full UK driving licence (licence check required)
    • Time-served engineer
    • Reliable and capable of working independently
    • Own tools required
    • Strong attention to detail for accurate reporting and documentation
