Multi-Skilled Engineer, Central Belt Scotland, £24.00 – £27.00 per hour, Immediate Start
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across client sites
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out reactive maintenance
- Working on plant machinery and general site equipment
- Maintaining metal and woodworking machinery (e.g. school workshop equipment)
- Servicing and repairing fume extraction systems
- Fault finding on drives and control systems
- Completing all works in line with safety standards and company procedures
- Updating job progress and reports via PDA system
- Supporting client operations and ensuring minimal downtime
- Maintaining a professional and organised approach across all sites
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working on plant machinery and associated systems
- Knowledge of drives, motors, and control systems
- Ability to carry out both PPM and reactive maintenance
- Full UK driving licence required
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients
- Relevant engineering qualifications (desirable but not essential)
