Multi-Skilled Engineer, Central Belt Scotland, £24.00 – £27.00 per hour, Immediate Start

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across client sites
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out reactive maintenance
  • Working on plant machinery and general site equipment
  • Maintaining metal and woodworking machinery (e.g. school workshop equipment)
  • Servicing and repairing fume extraction systems
  • Fault finding on drives and control systems
  • Completing all works in line with safety standards and company procedures
  • Updating job progress and reports via PDA system
  • Supporting client operations and ensuring minimal downtime
  • Maintaining a professional and organised approach across all sites

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience working on plant machinery and associated systems
  • Knowledge of drives, motors, and control systems
  • Ability to carry out both PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (desirable but not essential)
