Mechanical Fitter, Water & Wastewater Sector, Covering Scotland, Long Term Contract

Responsibilities:
- Monday–Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm, 40 hours per week, Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
- Mechanical installation of pumps, screens, and rotating equipment
- Assemble and install pipework, valves, and ancillary equipment across sites in Scotland
- Work with various materials including PVC, ABS, ductile iron, galvanised steel, and stainless steel
- Install pumps including centrifugal, multistage, and progressive cavity pumps
- Interpret, follow, and explain technical instructions and engineering drawings
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, risk assessments, and method statements
- Work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating good organisation and time management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in water, wastewater, or a similar industrial environment
- Experience with pipework assembly and pump installation
- Strong time management and communication skills, verbal and written
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials across Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering
- Ability to follow and interpret technical instructions
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of H&S legislation, including risk assessments and method statements
- CSCS card required; confined space experience essential
- DOMS qualification advantageous but not essential
