About the Role Aspirare Recruitment is seeking a qualified, time-served Maintenance Plumber for an immediate start position based out of East Kilbride.

This role offers an excellent path from a temporary contract to a permanent position with a leading maintenance provider.

You will manage reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance across local contracts, backed by enhanced overtime rates and paid travel time.

Benefits

  • Financial Stability: Competitive base rate of £20.00 per hour with a guaranteed 40-hour paid week.
  • Premium Overtime: All overtime hours paid at 1.5x your hourly rate (£30.00/hr).
  • Paid Travel: Travel time fully paid at enhanced rates (after the first 30 mins and before the last 30 mins of the day).
  • Company Vehicle: Dedicated company van and fuel card provided for all business use.

Responsibilities

  • Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve emergency and routine plumbing faults.
  • Plumbing Repairs: Execute leak detection, water heater repairs, and internal toilet maintenance.
  • Pipework: Carry out efficient waste pipe replacements and general pipework upgrades.
  • Digital Logging: Accurately record completed jobs, detailed notes, and photo evidence using a PDA system.
  • Customer Service: Deliver a reliable, professional, and high-quality service on all sites.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Time-served plumber or domestic heating/plumbing engineer.
  • Experience: Strong background in reactive maintenance and domestic/commercial plumbing repairs.
  • Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (subject to a standard driving licence check).
  • Insurance Compliance: Must meet fleet insurance criteria for commercial vehicle operations.
  • Logistics: Must own standard plumbing hand tools and be able to arrive on site for an 8:00am start daily
