We work closely as an internal delivery team and value clear communication, good documentation, and doing things properly.
The Role
This is a desk-based, work-from-home role supporting the Projects team with Microsoft 365 migrations although occasional travel to customer sites may be required. The role requires strong communication skills and excellent record-keeping to ensure migrations are delivered smoothly and repeatably. You will manage multiple workstreams, context-switch between projects, and adapt to changing priorities driven by client needs and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Microsoft 365 migrations using native tools such as MigrationWiz and ShareGate
- Support Mailbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and tenant-to-tenant migrations
- Write, maintain, and improve PowerShell scripts
- Use source control and GitHub for script and change management
- Prepare clients for migration and demonstrate successful completion
- Maintain clear and accurate records of migration activities
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly
- Follow documented runbooks and contribute improvements
Essential Skills and Experience
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 migration experience
- Strong understanding of M365 tenant configuration
- Strong PowerShell experience both developing and running scripts
- Experience with source control (currently Github) and development (Visual Studio)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and context switch
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain clear documentation and records
- Flexible approach to working patterns to suit individual, client, and project needs
Desirable
- Experience with MigrationWiz and/or ShareGate
- Experience of managing large shared tenants
- MSP or consultancy background
- Intune experience and configuration with Windows, IoS and/or Android is an added bonus.
