My client is a well-established manufacturer currently looking to recruit an experienced Crosshead Extrusion Setter to join their production team on a permanent day’s shift.

The Role

You will be responsible for setting up and operating crosshead extrusion lines, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards whilst maintaining production efficiency. Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team, you will be involved in machine set-ups, tooling changes, process optimisation, and supporting production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating crosshead extrusion machinery
  • Carrying out machine set-ups and changeovers
  • Packing and preparing production lines
  • Monitoring product quality and making process adjustments where required
  • Troubleshooting production issues to minimise downtime
  • Working safely and efficiently to meet production targets
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as an Extrusion Setter is essential
  • Experience within co-extrusion processes
  • Background in wire coating, cable extrusion, hose extrusion, or pipe extrusion
  • Experience working with materials such as PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon, and Nylon
  • Strong understanding of extrusion processes and machine set-up
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Please Note

Candidates with solely blown film extrusion experience will not be considered for this position, as the role requires specific experience within crosshead extrusion and wire, cable, hose, or pipe manufacturing environments.
