Role Overview
An exciting opportunity to develop a career within the steel stockholding industry. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training across sales, customer service, account management, and commercial operations, gaining valuable technical and commercial knowledge to support future career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing customers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive sales activity and cold calling.
- Process customer enquiries, quotations, and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and specifications to meet customer requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth order progression.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate sales records using company systems.
- Follow up on quotations, enquiries, and outstanding orders to maximise sales opportunities.
- Promote current and new product lines to prospective and existing customers.
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues professionally.
- Work towards achieving and exceeding KPIs and sales targets once fully trained.
Additional Responsibilities
- Follow company Health & Safety and Quality Assurance procedures.
- Attend training sessions to support ongoing development.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Carry out additional duties as required by management.
